We’re in motion on yet another series of tours for Campaign 2012… \u00a0 Heading south on I-75 through Tennessee, we saw a billboard that simply read: \u00a0 Less Speed. \u00a0 Less Pollution…<\/strong> \u00a0 We make it a point of driving no faster than 55 mph on the highway, no matter what the speed limit is. \u00a0 Because of the pollution, and safety… \u00a0 In Canton, Georgia, there’s a sign in the YMCA locker room asking members to keep their showers to five minutes, to save water. \u00a0 To saver water, and energy, it’s my belief all Americans should be taking, like, \u00a0three minute<\/em> GI showers. \u00a0 “Tough talk for tough times,”<\/em> our new campaign motto goes… \u00a0 In La Grange, Georgia, I talked with Dustin and Jamie White, who are in the area from Ohio on a Christian mission. \u00a0 The Whites periodically take homeless people into their place. \u00a0 Dustin talked of one man they’d helped who had been on the streets, then got into recovery for cocaine addiction, reunited with his family and has a solid job now. \u00a0 And it was this young couples’ \u00a0willingness to risk \u00a0that helped get the ball rolling. \u00a0 Tough people for tough times. \u00a0 How do we end homelessness in America? \u00a0 Well for one, more people like the Whites.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
