The New York Times<\/em> reported today that President Obama will be reversing Bush administration limits on federal financing for embryonic stem cell research at a ceremony on Monday. \u00a0 According to the article, Obama said this \u00a0signals a \u00a0general return to “sound science.” \u00a0 And one proponent sited in the article said that this will return us to an era of “scientists making scientific decisions.” \u00a0 …The article calls these “human embryos.” \u00a0 The word “human” should be, oh, a big<\/em> \u00a0 hint to us. \u00a0 Who out there hasn’t initially been: a \u00a0human embryo? \u00a0 Translated: \u00a0<\/strong> We’re killing people at the earliest stage of their life. \u00a0 I mean, it wouldn’t take an ethics professor, a scientists or even a president \u00a0who went to \u00a0 Harvard to figure this one out. \u00a0 Note:<\/strong> \u00a0 The national news carried a story today about a man in Cleveland who killed his new wife, her sister and three young children with a semi-automatic weapon. \u00a0 It happened on W. 89th St. just two miles west of us. \u00a0 Today I took our kids to a Recreation Center halfway between W. 89th St. and our place. \u00a0 While playing basketball, I noticed a 10-year-old kid standing nearby. \u00a0 He had a pronounced scar that ran from the corner of his eye all the way down to his chin. \u00a0 I asked what happened. \u00a0 He, rather matter of factedly, \u00a0said someone knifed him when he was five. \u00a0 \u00a0America’s \u00a0big cities are becoming such war zones. \u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
