Buckeye Back Roads Tour cont<\/strong>. \u00a0 We are \u00a0in motion again. \u00a0 This morning I gave a Pro-life talk at Sacred Heart Church in Oberlin, Ohio. \u00a0 Preceding the talk, the priest said that we all too often don’t take the gospel message seriously. \u00a0 He asked, for instance, \u00a0how many people “…would leave Heaven to save someone from going to Hell?” \u00a0 I followed up by saying in the talk that we are so ensconsed in the comfort of our own homes \u00a0(air conditioning, television, music…) \u00a0 — read ‘Heaven;’ while 4,400 little unborn babies go to their deaths everyday<\/em> \u00a0 in America because of abortion. \u00a0 Shouldn’t we be forgoing \u00a0our comfort to take to the streets regularly to protest, to fill<\/em> \u00a0 the newspapers with pro-life letters to the editor, to fill \u00a0 <\/em>our legislators’ offices with letters, to volunteer at, and tremendously fund, local crisis pregnancy centers…? \u00a0 So that babies don’t die and people don’t have to go to ‘Hell’ because of the choices they make to abort. \u00a0 I also \u00a0posed: “If abortion continues because of our own sins of omission — \u00a0will we, too, \u00a0go to Hell?” \u00a0 Note:<\/strong><\/em> \u00a0 The priest also asked another fascinating question today. \u00a0 “How many of us would sell all that we own, [give the money to charity] \u00a0and go live with the poor (in solidarity)?” \u00a0 While not going to that extent, yet, a Sacred Heart Peace and Justice Group member said their church has recently become part of a nine-church Interfaith Hospitality Network in Lorain County. \u00a0 These churches rotate in putting up homeless families.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
