We have dilineated between “legal” and “civil” matters in this country. \u00a0 But are we always using common sense in this dilineation? \u00a0 Example:<\/strong> \u00a0 I walk into a retail store and steal a pair of shoes. \u00a0 I’m charged with “shoplifting” and given a fine and, perhaps, some jail time. \u00a0 I walk into \u00a0a retail store and buy a pair of shoes on my credit card. \u00a0 Instead of paying the monthly fee, however, I take that money to go out and buy more<\/em> \u00a0 stuff for myself. \u00a0 \u00a0In this case, have I, in effect, stolen the shoes as well? \u00a0 Common sense would say: yeah. \u00a0 Yet, I’m not prosecuted. \u00a0 Note:<\/strong> \u00a0 It would seem to me that we’ve created \u00a0a terribly complex, and convoluted, economic system. \u00a0 And this scenario is just one example. \u00a0 What’s more, \u00a0this has clouded our spiritual perceptions as well. \u00a0 That is, you’re average American consumer would look at the \u00a0‘credit card \/ shoe’ scenario I outline \u00a0as purely an economics \u00a0concern, not a spiritual concern as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
