The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change<\/strong> just released their final report (over a five year study) on Climate Change. \u00a0 The NY Times<\/em> reported it is, by far, the most alarming report, indicating we could be looking at a hyper-accelarated global warming \u00a0scenario in the near future. \u00a0 The story said an unrelated Energy Agency report recently indicated that if current policies weren’t changed — the \u00a0world would warm six degrees by 2030.<\/strong> \u00a0 This would be nothing short of absolutely catastrophic<\/em>. \u00a0 So… It’s my belief that we \u00a0can’t wait for worldwide government leaders to meet in a couple months to craft \u00a0what will replace the Kyoto Protocol in 2012. \u00a0For those (“change agents” in your neighborhoods, churches, civic groups…) who believe \u00a0the UN, and other, \u00a0Climate Change reports are valid, it’s time to — in a ‘hyper-accelerated’ fashion — step up your energy conservations practices, exponentially.<\/em> \u00a0 And this is not just about saving the planet in the future, it’s about us being responsible for killing people now. \u00a0 I told the Wellington News<\/em> in Ohio that if our energy gluttony in America is leading to super-charged hurricanes, super-charged typhoons (2,300 dead in the Bengladesh typhoon last week, and counting); current droughts and famine in more arid countries, etc… we are, in a very real sense: killing people now! \u00a0 <\/em>And do Americans \u00a0really think that we are \u00a0going to be able to play the “unintended consequences” card with God at Judgement on this thing? \u00a0 I mean if we know<\/em> there is a distinct: cause and effect. \u00a0 C’mmon.<\/em> \u00a0 This isn’t moral theology rocket science. \u00a0 This is simply what it is: killing people!<\/em> \u00a0 (For instance, turning on the air conditioning \u00a0in America \u00a0is like metaphorically pulling the trigger on a gun that shoots slow motion bullets at people starving to death from global warming, drought caused famine in Nigeria.) \u00a0 As a presidential candidate, I would \u00a0strongly suggest all \u00a0American ‘change agents’ out there \u00a0start sacrificing \u00a0tremendously \u00a0and influencing as many others as possible, now! \u00a0 Note:<\/strong> For \u00a0suggestions on \u00a0how to do this, see our Energy Policy<\/a><\/strong>.
