Mike here introduced me by saying he’d seen the Channel 5 News<\/em> spot the other night, and hoped I’d do well. \u00a0 \u00a0“And then, well, here you are,” he smiled… A story in the Canton newspaper appeared about our stop in Massilon the day before. \u00a0 The tag line read: \u00a0 Hillary? Rudy? Fuggettaboutem!<\/strong> \u00a0 The headline then read: \u00a0 \u00a0“Average Joe \u00a0Wants Your Vote”<\/strong> \u00a0 \u00a0 I liked that. \u00a0 And \u00a0although my spell check is telling me ‘fuggettaboutem’ is not a word — it is in Cleveland… We did a whistle-stop in Alliance, Ohio, today. \u00a0 A reporter fromt he Alliance newspaper asked what was driving me. \u00a0 I said “we used to be concerned about our kids doing OK in English Class. \u00a0 But now we’re more concerned about them being shot to death<\/em> in English Class.” \u00a0 A news team form Channel 19 <\/em>out of Cleveland drove an hour and a half to film the whistle-stop event in Alliance. \u00a0 The reporter asked me what I thought was the most significant current issue. \u00a0 I said I thought global warming was. \u00a0 She immediately leaned in and said: \u00a0 “But Joe, were in a war!”<\/em> \u00a0 I said if there was no world left, being in a war (one way or the other) would be a mute point… \u00a0 We then headed on to Warren, Ohio.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
