{"id":648,"date":"2007-06-07T14:37:36","date_gmt":"2007-06-07T14:37:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/voteforjoe.com\/wheresjoe\/?p=81"},"modified":"2007-06-07T14:37:36","modified_gmt":"2007-06-07T14:37:36","slug":"6506-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/voteforjoeblog.com\/?p=648","title":{"rendered":"6\/5\/07"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>&#8220;average JoeOhio Tour&#8221; cont:<\/strong> \u00a0 In Morrow County, we visited the town of Cardington where we passed out campaign info at a youth league baseball game, then we walked about the town passing out info as well. \u00a0 Afterward we went to Suz-e-q&#8217;s <em>(&#8220;It&#8217;s not you&#8217;re mama&#8217;s home cooking.<\/em>&#8220;) for a burger. \u00a0 I put a flyer on the bulletin board and wrote: &#8220;Suz-e-q I love you!&#8221; \u00a0 Once again, we&#8217;re doing this without a paid PR consulting staff, or anything&#8230; \u00a0 We then went to Mt. Gilead, Ohio, hometown of Warren Harding, the 29th president of the U.S. \u00a0 We stumped at Sames &amp; Cook Coffee Shop (<em>great coffee!<\/em>) in the downtown area. \u00a0 There I talked with Ralph Rapp, who is a retired math teacher. \u00a0 He told me he believes standardized testing is one of the biggest problems in education today. \u00a0 He said it discourages creativity on the part of the teachers to assess and teach to the needs of \u00a0individual students. \u00a0 What&#8217;s more, he added that often information taught for the standardized tests is extraneous for many students. \u00a0 I told the <em>Morrow County Sentinel<\/em> that our education platform would line up with this as well. \u00a0 <strong>Note:<\/strong> \u00a0 While jogging through Mt.
