{"id":575,"date":"2011-02-25T04:12:00","date_gmt":"2011-02-25T04:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/voteforjoe.com\/wheresjoe\/?p=575"},"modified":"2011-02-25T04:12:00","modified_gmt":"2011-02-25T04:12:00","slug":"health-care","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/voteforjoeblog.com\/?p=575","title":{"rendered":"Health Care"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have been volunteering at the <strong>Open Door Community <\/strong>in urban Atlanta, Georgia, this winter. \u00a0 This is an outreach to the homeless on the streets of Atlanta. \u00a0 On Wednesday nights, there is a free Health Clinic staffed with a doctor and medical students from nearby <strong>Emory College<\/strong>. \u00a0 That night they will see on average about 15 people. \u00a0 The patients are people who are homeless and have no health care insurance. \u00a0 One of the volunteers here tonight prayed the day after the clinic was held that the country would evolve to such a state where: \u00a0 If a person had a medical need, it would be met. \u00a0 That simple.
