(Today is the 60th anniversary of the dropping of the atom bomb on Hiroshima.)  The atom bomb was experimented with at the Nevada Test Site, 60 miles northwest of here.  And as a child growing up in Las Vegas, featured Conference speaker and peace activist Janet Chisolm said she would often go to designated locations aways off from the desert site (with sun glasses) &#8212; as did many in Las Vegas &#8212; to watch the above ground atomic explosions.
