{"id":308,"date":"2005-07-27T13:38:29","date_gmt":"2005-07-27T13:38:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hostkabob.com\/vote\/?p=302"},"modified":"2005-07-27T13:38:29","modified_gmt":"2005-07-27T13:38:29","slug":"72605","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/voteforjoeblog.com\/?p=308","title":{"rendered":"7\/26\/05"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While our children played a sandlot baseball game with a group of Amish children in Bonner&#8217;s Ferry, Idaho, I interviewed Elvy Miller who told me the Amish here were feeling a spiritual calling to help facilitate reconcilliation with the Native Americans in the area.  Elvy said because of the intense persecution his people felt in Europe prior to coming to America, they felt a special empathy for the persecution the Native Americans have experienced here.  (Miller had recently talked at Gonzaga University&#8217;s &#8220;Institute of Hate Studies&#8221; about these types of issues.)  &#8230;Also while in Bonner&#8217;s Ferry, a &#8220;Deacon Joe&#8221; at St. Anne&#8217;s Catholic Church, said when it comes to abortion and women saying they want to have &#8220;ownership&#8221; over their bodies &#8212;  that these women must remember where <em>their <\/em>bodies actually came from in the first place.  (Read: God.)  Also while in Bonner&#8217;s Ferry, I interviewed John Gale, who is the former president of Chris Kraft Boats.
