Post election I have continued on with my ‘populist pursuits.’\u00a0 Besides house painting<\/a>, I continue to write freelance articles<\/a> for our local newspaper.\u00a0 One article that I wrote in the last week was about an extra-ordinary<\/em> senior at Bluffton University.\u00a0 Chris Wagler has a triple<\/em> major (You read that right!): accounting, business administration, and exercise science.\u00a0 What’s more, he’s been president and treasurer of BU’s Business Club<\/em>.\u00a0 He’s also the goalie on the soccer team.\u00a0 And he works part-time in the evenings at the Bluffton Family Recreation Center<\/em>.\u00a0 Chris has also just received a full scholarship to do a Masters in Accounting at Bowling Green State University.\u00a0 (He’s decided on accounting, just so he can keep track of his schedule.\u00a0 LOL, sort of.)\u00a0 Note:<\/strong>\u00a0 A good number of evenings, I can be found in BU’s Library continuing to do research on our positions.\u00a0 For instance, there’s been a lot of nuclear saber rattling between president elect-Trump and Russia in recent weeks.\u00a0 This, ultimately, will send a dangerous ‘radioactive ripple’ into other countries as well.\u00a0 In the book China Goes Global<\/em><\/strong> by David Shambaugh, it’s noted that:\u00a0 “Beijing has not entered into nuclear arms reductions bilaterally or multilaterally.\u00a0 It has long argued that the two major nuclear weapons states — the U.S. and Russia — must drastically reduce their arsenals down to China’s level before Beijing will consider joining such discussions.”\u00a0 Note 2<\/strong>:\u00a0 Obama’s stated goal was to work toward a: “nuclear weapons free world.”\u00a0 And in this area, he was making strides. Trump?\u00a0 Apparently not so much.\u00a0 Our administration would be more in Obama’s camp on this one.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
