Okay. \u00a0The election dust has settled.\u00a0 And, that’s right, I decided not to ask for a recount.\u00a0 (Didn’t want the country any more divided than it is.)\u00a0 Also it was apparent, at least to our campaign staff, that Russia didn’t try to manipulate the election in my favor either.\u00a0 So, time to accept the results — as I have the four past campaigns — and move on…\u00a0 In the last couple months, I’ve continued on with my “average Joe” life.\u00a0 Before the weather got too cold, we finished painting the exterior of a house on Spring Street in Bluffton<\/a>.\u00a0 It was done in a rather\u00a0distinctive “prairie green.”\u00a0 I couldn’t help but think how nice the White House would look with this color.\u00a0 (It’s been white for soooo<\/em> long!\u00a0 Maybe when I get there…)\u00a0 Actually the color would be emblematic, in part, of our administration’s paradigm\u00a0around developing\u00a0a much ‘greener’ U.S.\u00a0 Unlike the incoming Trump administration, we (along with a host<\/em> of scientists) believe global warming, for instance, is a real and imminent threat.\u00a0 And our energy position paper <\/a>outlines a series of steps we’d take (based on some extremely tried programs), to help reverse global warming, quick!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
