{"id":1006,"date":"2010-04-09T13:39:39","date_gmt":"2010-04-09T13:39:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/voteforjoe.com\/wheresjoe\/?p=444"},"modified":"2010-04-09T13:39:39","modified_gmt":"2010-04-09T13:39:39","slug":"bloody-civil-war","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/voteforjoeblog.com\/?p=1006","title":{"rendered":"bloody civil war"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Catching up on my notes&#8230; A couple weeks back we were at Jubilee Partners Community in Comers, Georgia. \u00a0 This is a Christian community that takes in refugees from all over the world. \u00a0 While at Jubilee, I interviewed Liz Purdy who volunteers here. \u00a0 She recently graduated from Gonzaga University in Washington. \u00a0 She was also in Tanzania for three years doing humanitarian outreach. \u00a0 She worked in an orphanage there and was overwhelmed with the malnutrition and disease that she saw. \u00a0 &#8220;There&#8217;s tremendous injustice and inequality in the world,&#8221; she lamented. \u00a0 &#8220;Where did we go wrong?&#8221; \u00a0 &#8230;Jubiliee Partners currently has a group of refugees from Burma. \u00a0 The Burmese government is currently a militarily controlled junta. \u00a0 The government is aligned against pro-democracy forces in the country.
